Discovering India

Most of April was spent in India. Now India in April is pretty hot! At times bordering on 45 degrees celsius! Why would go at this time? To attend a family wedding of course. Now Indian weddings are intense, crazy, wonderful, chaotic events that last for a week! In order to recover from the joyous mayhem I decided to head into the beauty and tranquility of the hills of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala but more specifically Mcleod Ganj. This area is known as home in exile for the Dalai Lama. From here you can visit Tibetan monasteries and walk into the hills from where you can see the stunning backdrop that is the beginning of the Himalayas. A truly awe inspiring place.
